Reason to not go to Sierra

My finances for many years are on Quicken Essentials, which does not work on Sierra. Seeing that Quicken 2016 would import Essentials files I purchased it. This application is VERY poor, and will not do what I expected. Regretfully I am going back to Yosemite just to keep using Quicken Essentials. I feel the problem is caused by some code in Quicken that checks the OS version rather than a Sierra quirk, so my disappointment is with Intuit rather than with Apple. If you want a program that gathers all your financial records from your bank and then keeps them on an Intuit server then by all means buy Quicken 2016. I am working on getting my money back.
